Very speedy service. Needless to say, I’ll be going back to try the rest of their menu, haha!
I also decided to get some biscuits they sold. I got the pistachio baiocchi. I really like them.
Also, I didn’t understand what some of the menu items were. The counter staff kindly explained them to me.
A hidden little gem. 💎
And I can only assume, a great place for a date. The interior design was adorable and very atmospheric.- Service

It’s hard to start a review based on one experience as we frequently go to calabrese. It’s truly one of our favourite spots outside of Italy and a hidden gem in Bournemouth that we are so lucky to have.
Being Italy lovers , me and my partner have struggled for years to find somewhere that really gives the authenticity and taste of the med. we have chain places in Bournemouth and Italian restaurants that like to say they are 100% Italian but the experience is just not the same.
Angie and David are the most welcoming couple, with bundles of experience and knowledge of what they are selling to the clientele. They always make the effort to chat to you whether they have a queue out the door or not. And the service is always fast.
If you haven’t tried calabrese out yet then don’t sleep on this gem.. don’t walk… RUN! (You need to as they tend to sell out of the yummy focaccia sandwiches and pasta very quickly)- Service

We always like to seek out independents and if it's an Italian, that's even better.
Having been told about here by another Indie,we just had to go check it out.
What a find this is. Dare we say " A little gem".
Sort of a cafe come deli,with a counter and bar stools to eat in.
As you enter, you are faced with the most difficult decision as to what to choose.
Everything on display looks absolutely delicious.
There's variety of fresh panini's, salads and cakes.
Where do you start?
With a couple of beers and two slices of pizza.
While sat dreaming of being in Itlay,Angela the owner was busy stirring a big pot of fresh pasta.
You know what we are having next.
A big,steaming hot dish of bolognese.
Just like mamma used to make,well Angela.
Oh my goodness,are we ever going to be able to leave?
Not until we have had a piece of that Sicilian lemon cheesecake that we had been eyeing up.
Washed down with coffee of course.
When we first arrived it was early and had the place to ourselves with our two doggies.
But that soon changed, as the locals in the know were queing out the door for their little piece of Italy.
Before leaving we had to have a selection of Cannolis to take with us.
It is small, but as they say,

Incredible atmosphere, it's like stepping into a little piece of Italy. Owner and staff are lovely. Coming all the way from Australia, this is our favourite place for a splendid coffee and full flavoured meals.

OUTSTANDING supper club 💚 Last night we dined at Calabrese, 10 of us. We had antipasti to start, cocktails, beers and wine all flowing followed by quite possibly the best freshest most authentic carbonara I've ever eaten. It was 10/10 cannot recommend enough!

Super friendly staff Sandwich was delicious, but little bit salty for me. I’m gonna try salad soon. * I visited here again for salad. It was perfect❤️ I will definitely visit again.

We just discovered this place and found out they've been here for nearly 4 months. We're glad we didn’t have to wait any longer! Fantastic place with amazing staff and, most importantly, delicious food. The quality is high, and the flavors are incredible. We’ll definitely be back. This was exactly what Bournemouth was missing!

It's nice that I can buy some ingredients delivered straight from Italy. They do some lovely gift sets all year round.
Angela and Dave are very welcoming, it feels like I'm in a local Italian deli.

Calabrese is easily some of the best food and coffee you can find in Bournemouth, the sandwiches, desserts, pizzas are all incredible.
We spent an evening here which included starters, a main course and dessert and it was such a great experience. Both Angela & Dave couldn't have done any more to make us feel more comfortable. Everything was perfect from start to finish.
The overall vibe of this hidden gem is amazing and the reason we keep on returning. If you're passing nearby, make sure you stop in, you certainly won't regret it!- Food

Incredible food. Fresh and homemade..very filling and tasty. Owner ( sorry lovely didnt get your name ) is Incredible so friendly knowledgeable about ingredients amd where they come from in Italy. I have found my new lunch spot . Amazing little place.

Stumbled upon this gem while looking to go somewhere else and couldn’t resist the stunning interior! Was not disappointed. Faultless focaccia panini, the bread was incredible, the filling so fresh, perfect. Finished with tiramisu which was one of the best desserts I have ever had, certainly the best tiramisu. Well worth 5 stars 🌟

I can wholeheartedly say this is the best place to grab food and coffee in Bournemouth. It’s a beautiful family run eatery serving fresh Italian food. They import their produce from Italy and you can certainly taste the difference. The entire Calabrese team have always been the most welcoming people and will do everything to make you feel at home. Absolutely delicious lunch from Calabrese Kitchen! Angela is so friendly and makes everything by hand. Highly recommend a visit, we drove from Poole and will definitely be back!
